After breakfast, We’ll take you to the airport for your included flight to Amboseli National Park. Luggage restricted to 15 kgs per person. This park contains five main wildlife habitats: open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush country, swamps, and marshland. Enjoy three nights at the inviting Oltukai Lodge. After breakfast, set out across the dew-touched landscapes of Amboseli. The animals are up with the first light of day, and the early light is one of the best times to experience the full majesty of Kilimanjaro. With clear weather and a bit of good luck, today offers a chance to capture that classic shot of an elephant or giraffe against the dramatic backdrop of Africa's highest peak. But even if Kilimanjaro is hidden by clouds, your wildlife-viewing promises to be spectacular. Although best known for its vast herds of free ranging elephants, the greater Amboseli eco-system is also home to a large variety of other wildlife along with more than 400 species of birds. After breakfast, we’ll take you to the Amboseli airstrip for your included flight via Nairobi into the Central Highlands of Kenya. On arrival, we’ll take you to your luxury accommodation. Your overland journey into the Conservancy takes you through shifting eco-systems that provide prime habitat for a variety of Big Game. Rise early with tea or coffee brought to your tent then set off as the sun rises for a wilderness awakening game drive. The verdant plains host a fabulous array of plains game such as gazelles, impala, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest and eland. Never far away are the predators such as lion, cheetah, leopard and hyena which our guides are finely tuned to finding. Enjoy a picnic breakfast in the most magnificent outdoor setting on the plains before winding your way back to camp. After a leisurely al-fresco lunch back at camp, relax, read, watch the resident bird life or enjoy a siesta in your tent. Afternoon tea is followed by game driving in another area of the conservancy where you may see jackals roaming, warthog bathing or impala jousting. Sun downer drinks are served in a picturesque spot as you watch the sun sink below the horizon. Return to camp to exchange stories around the campfire with the other guests before your mouth watering three course evening meal.
